Married 4 Keeps Premarital Program
Pre-Marital Preparation

Our Pre-Marital Preparation plan is a very comprehensive
program. The idea is to talk about issues before marriage so that
they do not become a problem after marriage. The Pre-marital Program
includes:
Administer Foccus
or Prepare/Enrich Inventory ($50) and delivery of 2 faith-based
pre-marital workbooks ($32.63 each). The premarital couple does not
get to keep the inventory results and showing of the inventory results
is at the discretion of Married 4 Keeps. Each named party agrees that
their results can be shown to the other party. Total due on
pre-session one $115.26
Session One: Readiness
Issues, Marriage Covenant Issues, and Lay the Foundation for a Life
Long Marriage. Total due Session One $55.
Session Two: Personality Match, Personal Issues, and
Discover God’s Gift to You and Your Mate. Total due Session
Two $55
Session Three: Lifestyle Expectations, Extended Family Issues,
and Survive a Positive Identity Change. Total due Session Three
$55.
Session Four: Communication, Problem Solving, and Fight With
Your Mate & Please God too. Total due Session Four $55.
Session Five: Friends and Interests, Dual Careers, and
Ensure the I Do’s Last a Lifetime. Total due Session Five $55.
Session Six: Religion and Values, Family of Origin, and Walk
on the Spiritual Side of Marriage. Total due Session Six $55.
Session Seven: Financial, Parenting, and Plan for Your Future
Together. Total due Session Seven $55.
Session Eight: Sexuality, Key Problem Indicators, and
Prepare the Marriage Bed for a Lifetime of Pleasure. Total due
Session Eight $55.
Session Nine: Catch up on sessions and Foccus for the
Future (Summary and Planning Form) Total due Session Nine $55.
The above content contains the Foccus Inventory subsections and the
corresponding faith-based workbook topics (in italics). The workbook
requires homework 6 days per week. Generally the workbook topics are
supplemental and not covered in our sessions except for occasional
references. This contract is for administering the inventory and nine sessions, as
described above, for a total of $610.26. Sometimes a communication
workshop is available at extra cost. If couple desires additional
sessions, the cost for additional sessions is $55 each. Each session is
expected to last approximately one hour. Each session will be attended by
at least one marriage educator. A 48 hour notice is necessary to cancel or
reschedule an appointment. Please call 714-836-0718 to cancel a session.
Missed sessions will be charged at $35 per session if no cancellation
received.
I found
our pre-marital preparation experience to be very valuable. Not only did
it strengthen my resolve to marry Beth, but it helped us to explore
portions of each others personality, life experiences and expectations
that otherwise we might not have been able to access. I thank you for
making this available to us and would unhesitatingly recommend it to any
couple considering marriage whether in a religious setting or secular.

Initially I didn't see the need for premarital education, but agreed to it
because my fiancé felt strongly about it. Married4Keeps was an extremely
worthwhile investment. It identified potential "hot spots" in our
relationship, gave us tools and skills to use, got us talking about
subjects you just don't know how to bring up, and deepened the emotional
bond between us. Ken was a great facilitator and was very flexible in
working with our very hectic schedules. I would recommend this program to
everyone considering marriage.
The
greatest thing about this class, in our opinion,is
how all three parts work together to fish out the
couple's scary thoughts that both parties are
reluctant to discuss. It also exposed so many things
we didn't know about each other, things we never
thought to ask. We now feel confident in discussing
important, or touchy subjects, and the lessons we have
learned are now habit. We wish everyone had to do this
before they walked down the aisle-there would be many
fewer divorces and more happy families! We are very
glad we found you!
